Architecture Design Intern | Schuber Mitchell Homes

Position Summary

The Architecture Design Intern assists in the creation and revision of construction documents and market research.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Assists the Design Manager in preparing accurate and timely construction documents
Conducts site visits on prototypes during construction, making notes for efficiency and layout improvements
Researches design trends and new building products for use in Schuber Mitchell homes
Works with truss, millwork, and MEP companies in the creation of efficient and well thought out layouts

Qualifications and Skills

Some Revit experience required
Working knowledge of Auto CAD
Experience in the construction field preferred
Proficient in the use of Windows operating system and Microsoft Office Applications
Ability to communicate effectively with multiple stakeholders
Superior organizational, time management, and analytical skills

Hours and Schedule

Part-Time
25-30 hours per week, flexible workdays/times

Work Environment and Physical Requirements

Works in a temperature-controlled office environment, with low noise levels
Prolonged periods of sitting required
Occasionally required to walk, stand, climb, lift, pull, and push objects weighing up to 15 pounds
